RM Bridge Advanced Wizard Help

Traffic Page JTG

The traffic load is applied according to JTG 4.3.1.

SettingDescription
Upper table The number of lanes and the particular eccentricity for each lane are calculated automatically from the input of the road way width (rww) given in the section SDL of the load definition in accordance with JTG 4.3.1, 7, Table 4.3.1-3 and in dependency of the selected Traffic type (one-way or two-way) in the General Page (just one input value for all lanes). However, these settings could be adjusted by the user.
Lane Load The characteristic values of the uniformly distributed line load qk and the concentrated load Pk are given according to JTG 4.3.1, 4, 1) in dependency of the automobile load grade selected in the General Page. Further Pk is evaluated in dependency of the length of the bridge span; the multiplication factor for calculating shear effect is not shown but will be considered in the stage calculation of RM Bridge Advanced.
Vehicular Load Activating/deactivating check box will consider/not consider vehicular load according to JTG 4.3.1, 5 and 6.
Pedestrian load (according to JTG 4.3.5)

Consider pedestrian load (Yes/No) defines whether the pedestrian load shall be considered or not. The value is calculated in dependency of the bridge type selected in the General Page. Further for road bridges the value is evaluated in dependency of the length of the bridge span; an increase factor for dense pedestrian load is considered when the respective option is selected (see below).

Intensity left/right and eccentricity left/right defines the intensity and the eccentricity of the area load on the left and right side of the roadway.

Consider Urban/suburban (Yes/No) considers an increase factor for dense pedestrian load in urban and suburban regions (only applicable for bridge type "road bridges" in the General Page).
